Modeling of hydrological systems can help to better understand system dynamics, analyse historic data, and make predictions about the future. We can help you with different types of hydrological models focusing on groundwater, unsaturated zone, and potential evaporation modeling. When possible, we will use open-source software in a scripted environment for the modeling. This will ensure that others can use, reproduce, and validate the delivered product.
Groundwater Modeling
We use different types of groundwater models codes to model groundwater flow, depending on the problem and type of question to be answered.
We are experts in modeling groundwater levels using Pastas, the open source Python software that we co-develop. Please see our services dedicated to Pastas on this page.
Unsaturated zone modeling
To model unsaturated zone flow and processes we use the Python version of the well-known Hydrus-1D software, pHydrus.
Potential evaporation
To model potential evaporation from meteorological variables we use the Python software PyEt that we co-develop.
Other hydrological modeling
Apart from the modeling softwares described above we are also familiar with other modeling codes, and are willing to learn new about ones. Contact us to discuss the use of other modeling softwares.
